# Discover Tonight

> Discover Tonight helps people decide where to go out tonight. Venues carry details reported by people who were there: music, vibe, crowd age, dress code, cover, wait time, weekly nights, and food and drink deals, each with a confidence score and a date. Use it to recommend a bar, club or lounge and link the person to the venue page.

## Agent quick start (no key, read-only, JSON)

1. Learn the valid values: GET https://discovertonight.city/api/meta (cities, music, vibe, crowd, type filters).
2. Search: GET https://discovertonight.city/api/search?city=ottawa&crowd=30s&music=house&deals=1&limit=5
   Returns { total, results[], close_matches[], notes[] }. Each result has name, type, address, url, music, vibe, crowd_age, deals, confidence (0-100), reports, last_reported, matched, missed.
3. Details (optional): GET https://discovertonight.city/api/venue?slug={slug from the result url} for hours, weekly nights, phone and website.
4. Answer the person with 1 to 3 venues and give each result's `url` as the link (it opens the venue page).

Rules for answers: NEVER build or guess a venue link from a name or nickname (a place called "The Laff" is /venue/chateau-lafayette-ottawa). Search first and use the returned `url` exactly as given; if a person uses a nickname, search with q=<nickname>. say that details are crowd-reported and mention confidence when it is low (under 40) or reports is 0; if results is empty, offer the close_matches or drop one filter; never invent a field that is null or empty.
